:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from B L Foster -- Outstanding conclusion to the series : I loved everything about this book. This is the conclusion to the crossroads series. We learn a lot more about Amaya’s past in this book. It still has all the other characters in the book like Cassie, Autumn, Julia, Beatrice and Regina. There is action and love and Amaya learns that she does indeed have friends who don’t care what she is. Amaya ends back in the land of the demons where she finally comes to terms with what she is and that her demon side is not at all evil. There is betrayal which catches you off guard but Amaya and her group battle through it and come out on top. Love the ending for Peter and Chloe. Can’t wait to see what comes next. I do recommend that you read Cassie’s, Autumn and Julia’s series as well to get more background on this world of witches. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- Not a Standalone, Fantastic continuation : I absolutely love the world JS has created. This is the 3rd book in Amaya’s story. It cannot be read without reading her previous stories, and I highly recommend reading Autumn, Cassie, and Julia's series' first. Malcom was great about bringing out the other characters. This book had me soooo very interested in Beatrice's background, what’s going to happen to Amaya’s new friends, will Parker be a mystery also or come out of her shell and we see her true story? There was just so much here to love: old friends, new friends, a look at the Demon world where Amaya grew up and some serious payback for the bad guys. Amaya grows so much in this book and it's amazing to see her gain confidence as she tackles problems in her own way. And that ending! Talk about an epic showdown. So sad that this concludes Amaya's story and excited to see what new stories the author will bring to this series. One of my favorites! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2021 )

Expect fun, anticipation, action, magic, a really interesting alternative universe and some revealing back stories. The characters are very likable, and each unique in their own right while complimenting each other. Events, places and the demon animals are all very well described. There is a new threat to the Shadow Order and a few surprises too. I am so glad that Chloe got what was coming to her. I do love Cassie’s character and Amaya. I really enjoyed the friends Amaya makes and how she gets out of trouble. An excellent read! I would recommend this book and series to all. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kim W. -- This Series keeps getting better : I love J.S. Malcom books and this latest addition exceeded my expectations. Each book has built momentum to the next. What I loved most is I have slowly established a relationship with each character in her books and this latest one I felt I got to know each one better. It fascinated me hearing about Beatrice and the old school Shadow Order. I would love to hear more about how Shadow Order began. It has also been very rewarding to see how Cassie and Amaya have grown and their relationship as Mentor/Protegee. Just a really great read. Fan for life.
